Harlem Week + NYSDF = 100s of Oral Health Screenings
Each year, New York City’s Harlem Week Children’s Festival offers families the opportunity to come together for
two days of cultural enlightenment, health care awareness and the opportunity for many to receive educational
scholarships. This year, hundreds of families will be recipients of oral health screenings sponsored by the New
York State Dental Foundation and provided by volunteers from the Bronx, New York County, Queens and
Second Dental Societies. NYSDF Board member Dr. Madeline Ginzburg has coordinated the task of gathering
supplies, recruiting volunteers, and liaison with staff members from the offices Congressman Charles Rangel
and Harlem Week, Inc., to ensure that this screening event is a success and in keeping with the Foundation’s
mission to improve the oral health of all New Yorkers.
